It includes specific social issues people are dealing with such as grief, mental health, emergencies and suicide.
Then there is an "induction and probation period of 12 months", which includes taking Crisis Calls on 13 11 14 line You will be rostered on 2 shifts per month, and an overnight shift every 8 weeks.
You will also be provided with ongoing training at no further cost.
Training involves participants getting to know themselves by exploring their own value and belief systems and journaling their pathway of learning into gaining awareness of their own responses and reactions to situations and issues.
It also explores the relevance and importance of the debriefing process for telephone counsellors and gives participants an opportunity for experiential learning through role playing.
